Dear readers, hello! Welcome to the very first blog of L'Atelier Geneviève. Here we will talk about the new features of the Céramicafé, the different workshops offered, it will also be an opportunity to post tutorials, but much more…
First of all, and in order to get to know each other, let me explain to you what the famous L'Atelier Geneviève is.
For those who have never heard of it, it is the first Céramicafé in Paris. Which brings us to another question… What is a Céramicafé?
Well, quite simply, it’s a place for creation and sharing, halfway between a café and a ceramic painting workshop. Geneviève, who, you guessed it, is behind the project, discovered the concept when she lived in Frankfurt, Germany, where ceramic painting workshops are commonplace.
At L'Atelier Geneviève, you come in to enjoy good drinks, hot and cold, organic and/or fair trade, superb vegetarian plates with seasonal vegetables straight from Rungis (vegan and gluten-free options available) but also and above all... decorate raw ceramic (i.e. still porous) such as a cup, a plate, a vase, etc. Whether you are a beginner or experienced, everything is at your disposal to create your future masterpieces because we lend brushes, paints, accessories, aprons... Rest assured, you are not abandoned in the jungle of ceramic painting, because the whole team is there to guide you and answer your questions.
Once finished, your works will be enameled by us (i.e. varnished) and fired in our oven at over 1000 degrees, to come out ready to use (dishwasher safe guaranteed!). They will be waiting for you at the Céramicafé and will be available one week after your first visit!
So if you too are tired of your old IKEA cups, don't wait any longer, come and personalize your future everyday objects with us!
We'll meet at 6 rue Saint Bernard (Paris 11th) from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays and from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays!
